We recently used the Palmerston North Personnel assessments as part of the employment process for our important customer services roles. This was the first time our organisation has used any sort of assessment as part of our pre-employment checks, but it won’t be the last. We were really thrilled that what the assessments showed was exactly what we, as the interview panel, had thought of each of our candidates. So it really backed up our decision around who to employ and gave us confidence that we were making the right choice. I was also impressed at the speed of the preliminary and final results were provided by Palmerston North Personnel. As we needed to make an appointment quickly we were provided with the results on each candidate within 24 hours – this was great service.

I conducted an Occupational Interest Profile with Palmerston North Personnel to help me make informed decisions about what I want to do and where I want to go post secondary schooling.

Completing the questionnaire was easy and the report I received was great and detailed my personality to a T. It gave good suggestions as career choices and prompted me to think about things I had never thought of.

I would recommend this to school leavers - ‘OIP was definitely right for me’.

Three years out of high school, I was going from job to job not particularly enjoying what I was doing. I sufferred a sports injury that made me unable to work. After 6 months, I decided that I couldn't keep going down that same path and needed a career which I'd be able to do and that I'd enjoy. But I wasn't sure what that might be or how to find out.

A friend had heard of the Occupational Interest Profile (OIP+) and suggested I "give it a go". The OIP+ proved to be quick to complete, easy to use and I was able to do it from home.

The Palmerston North Personnel team were enthusiastic and really willing to help me out, answering any questions I had.  I found them very open and professional, making things very clear and easy to understand.

After getting the report back and looking through the comprehensive OIP+ report which included job suggestions. Physiotherapy was one suggested career path.  I am now looking at studying at university and starting a career as a physiotherapist.

Had I not given the OIP+ a go, I would still be going from job to job. Now I've been given a chance to follow a career I'm likley to enjoy and it's all because of the OIP+ and the Palmerston North Personnel team! I can't thank them enough for helping me out and would recommend the OIP+ to anyone who is struggling to make career choices. You should get Palmerston North Personnel to help you too.

I had the opportunity to complete the Occupational Interest Profile and found it a useful exercise.

It reconfirmed my main areas of interests and gave me a bit more information about my personality traits. It was helpful to understand what jobs would suit me best.
