PN Personnel’s Top 10 Questions employers should ask

As recruiters, we ask a LOT of questions.  It’s what we do and what we are good at.  It is a skill to know the right questions to ask to be able to learn as much as you can from the person you are interviewing.

Whilst we select from a long list of questions when conducting interviews, we thought we would share with you our Top 10.  These broad questions are designed to engage conversation between the interviewee and yourself, to qualify the interviewees skills and establish a rapport between both interviewer and interviewee.

1 – What appeals to you most about this position?

2 - What one skill makes you the most qualified for this position?

3 – Why are you leaving your current employer?

4 - In your career so far, what has been your proudest work achievement?

5 – Tell me about the biggest challenge you have faced at work and describe how you overcame it.

6 – Describe your ideal work environment where you can perform at your best?

7 – What skill would you like to improve and do you have a plan to do this?

8 – What are your career goals in the next 12 months or more?

9 – Is there anything we would need to be aware of before you started work with us?

10 – What questions do you have for us?
