There are great people in the Manawatu - one more reason to live, work and play in the Manawatu

Pink Ribbons for generosity in the Manawatu

Palmerston North Personnel got behind the 2014 Pink Ribbon Breakfast to raise money for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation.

WOW - we have been blown away by how supportive the Manawatu business community has been. Plumbing World really got behind the cause as the biggest indivual donor - they won an amazing Pink Ribbon Cake. Read on to find out more...

Our Pink Ribbon Breakfast was an unplanned "off-the-cuff" event - certainly not with all the hoopla of Dot Com pumping $3 Million into the Mana-Internet Party

The Palmerston North Personnel team would like to take the time to thank all those who supported this great cause - as I write this we have $1435 raised for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation.

We'd like to publicly acknowledge a few people and businesses who have played a part in a really successful day:

  1. The Palmerston North Personnel Team - really collectivey got behind the day donating time, ingredients, baking, packaging, delivering, selling, arm-twisting and generally doing anything positive that helped!
  2. Plumbing World - who made the single largest donation - winning the Pink Ribbon Cake
  3. Melodies New World Bakery - who not only donated the cupcake holders but went out of their way to make the very cool Pink Ribbon Cake at a discounted price
  4. The Manawatu Guardian - who published our story - how cool is that! See the Link below
  5. Puddle Ducks - who looked after Cushla's children so she could focus on baking, icing and packaging
  6. Onyx Finance - who made a donation, won the Pink Ribbon Cake and then donated the cake back to help raise more money! Whoop Whoop!
  7. Kairanga Poultry - who donated fresh eggs to help us with baking the best cupcakes in the world
  8. Our corporate donors - who purchased cupcakes and fed their teams (many of these teams didn't know donations had been made on their behalf!)
  9. The individuals who bought cupcakes, donated time or encouraged their employers to participate

Special thanks to our very own Cushla Brasell...

It was a great idea and everyone had a lot of fun on the way!

AND if Kim Dot Com matched the donations raised - we won't say no!
