Robyn's Spring Update

Spring is now here and it's hard to believe that we are starting to think about the upcoming festive season already. I have been talking with local employers about their needs over this time and making plans to have them covered.

With all of the lead up to Christmas, if you haven’t already joined our free Job Alert service, now is a great time to do this and keep up-to-date with the vacancies Palmerston North Personnel is managing: 

We have been filling jobs - lots of jobs.

Our team have had an awesome year so far, with lots of permanent and temporary positions being filled in a wide range of industries. Our team have filled more than 100 permanent roles so far this year – that’s nearly 2.8 permanent jobs a week.

With the change in season and the election soon to be done and dusted for another 3 years, now is a great time to think about your personal future and where you want to be the next time an election rolls around. If you have updated your CV recently, please feel free to update us with this.

I have put together a few tips that may be helpful for your employment search. Research is where it’s at! Do your research into the position you're applying for, and learn as much as you can about the organisation. (Google searches can dig up a wealth of information).

Interestingly, one of the team noticed that if I had $1.00 for every job advertised in Manawatu right now, I would have more money than Ling and Zing earnt on The Block. But seriously - with 1000+ jobs advertised in Manawatu, the great news is employers are investing in new staff, so get job ready!
