Based in the Otaki Clinic, the Clinic Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance in the day-to-day management of the clinic, ensuring excellent customer and professional service to its customers is always maintained, resources are allocated and rostered to meet the business needs and workloads are planned for the smooth running of the clinic.

Your proven experience in managing and supporting a professional services team will compliment your knowledge base of the companion animal sector, along with your administration skill set. We are looking for someone who can lead a team forward, strive to complete team goals and offer guidance, support and life experience to really get behind the clinic focus of providing great service to all.

This is a full-time position, working 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, including working a rostered shift from 9am to 1pm every 4th Saturday. However, you will need to be able to offer flexibility in your availability as being a small clinic in Otaki, extra hours may be required from time to time.

You will have some financial expertise along with business performance including budget management. Strong administration skills will be required in this great opportunity as you will be responsible for maintaining business systems and generating reports on specific clinic operations. Areas of responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the clinic and customer services team
  • Assist with staff rosters
  • Assist and identify customer needs
  • Marketing and promotional strategies
  • Update of database details
  • Stocktake management
  • Showroom merchandising
  • Policy and procedures management
  • Facility management for the premises
  • Health and safety maintenance

  • Small companion animal knowledge

  • Strong inventory data management
  • Effective communicator and mentor

  • Manage time, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
