In this role you will be responsible for the day to day functions of a trade store and warehouse in Central Palmerston North.
The operating hours are 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Your direct report is the National Supply Chain Manager.
You will be responsible for:
o Provide a positive working environment in the store.
o Provide exceptional customer service.
o Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions.
o Keep stock in store on the customer satisfaction level.
o Manage store revenue, including cash handling. Ensure all orders are properly documented.
o Maintain operations by managing inwards and outwards activities and direct communication with transport companies and drivers
o Communicate, execute, and manage marketing and merchandising programs.
o Manage monthly stock take according to stock sheets from Head Office.
o Execute and monitor loss prevention.
o Management of all store operational issues, to include store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories, etc.
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge
To be successful in this role you will have:
o A proven successful record in warehousing
o An enthusiastic attitude
o An ability to effectively manage time and get stuck in for a job well done
(An affiliation and understanding of the trades industry would be an advantage)
