The Palmerston North facility is state of the art and is responsible for the delivery of goods and services to approximately 9,000 customers throughout the lower North Island. This branch has new innovations that set benchmarks across the industry in regards to environmental responsibility, productivity and efficiency.
About The Role
Joining the Palmerston North team and reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 26 service delivery people who service a large customer base with revenues of circa $7.2 million per annum. You will oversee the logistics of this long-haul transport network throughout the Lower North Island and proactively identify new opportunities for maximising market potential through your sales expertise.
Duties & Experience
- Results focused, with a track record of achieving agreed sales/revenue targets
- Staff recruitment, training, mentoring and performance management
- Managing expenses to agreed budgets
- Proactive Account Management with quarterly targets
- Previous experience in long-haul distribution management would be desirable (but is not essential)
- Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
- Highly organised
- Operate at a high level of engagement
- Be a go getter
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
- Personable and relatable
You will be rewarded with a total package of $100k which includes salary, performance bonus, company vehicle and contribution towards health insurance.
