Customer Services Team Leader

Totally Vets offers a comprehensive on-farm and in-clinic veterinary service for household pets and farmers in the region - nothing is too big or too small.

Their branches in Feilding, Palmerston North, Levin, Otaki, Taumarunui, Woodville, Pahiatua and Dannevirke complement this service with carefully chosen animal health products and merchandise, with up-to-date advice on their use. Based in the Feilding Head Office, the Customer Services Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring that the retail and call centre side of the business prospers whilst leading the extending team into growth.

Your proven experience in retail and customer services will compliment your knowledge base not only in companion animals but also the large animal sector, with preference being in the dairy industry. We are looking for someone who can lead a team forward, offering your expertise, knowledge and life experience to really get behind the retail focus and drive this by offering great leadership qualities.

This is a 40 hour per week position and will be on a rostered system as the business is in operation from Monday morning 7.30am to 6pm daily with some nights being late night to 8pm, through to Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Preference for this position would be Tuesday to Saturday, however there is some flexibility available on an individual basis.

You will also have some financial knowledge as monthly reporting and delivering to the senior leadership team is required along with daily cash and reporting duties.

Areas of responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the customer services team
  • Assist with staff rosters
  • Assist and identify customer needs
  • Update of database details
  • Showroom merchandising
  • Financial Reporting

Skills and experience you will possess:

  • Solid experience in retail sales
  • Dairy and large animal knowledge
  • Staff management and responsibility
  • Effective communicator and mentor
  • Ability to provide problem solving solutions
  • Manage time, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
