This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to join the specialist team at Colbert Cooper who have been servicing its nationwide clients for over 50 years. With clients from all walks of life and multiple industries, this role offers a great deal of variety and an opportunity to get stuck in and utilise your accounting and relationship management skills. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team including specialist accountants in their Levin based practice, who come from diverse backgrounds and offer a wealth of experience.

This role will suit a candidate who has 3 plus years’ experience working in New Zealand including Public Practice accounting and knowledge of accounting software. This is a varied role in which you will be dealing with multiple clients from different industries including trades and professional service providers, retail and hospitality businesses, farmers and growers, property owners, not-for profit organisations, investors. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships with your clients as you provide good quality accounting and tax advice.

Skills and experience required:

  • 3+ years' experience in a New Zealand Chartered Accounting firm
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enjoy working with people, a team player
  • Be able to multi task and have good time management skills
  • Good knowledge and experience of GST and Income Tax
